FieldTurf Appointed as an International Rugby Board (IRB) Preferred Producer

The International Rugby Board (IRB) has selected FieldTurf to be one of its Preferred Producers as part of the governing body’s One Turf program. Each IRB preferred producer oversees the production, installation and maintenance of artificial surfaces around the world in conformance with the governing body’s strict technical, performance and player welfare criteria.

FieldTurf was one of five appointed artificial turf manufacturers after a rigorous selection process that will ensure the highest possible player welfare and performance standards are achieved through the preferred producer program.

“We are very pleased to be a part of the IRB Preferred Producer Program,” said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “Our artificial turf surfaces have proven to be the safest and highest performing pitches in the world and we look forward to further enhancing participation in the game of Rugby worldwide”.

The selection of FieldTurf as a Preferred Turf Producer will benefit the sport of Rugby by providing a one-stop solution for organizations seeking to install artificial surfaces.

FieldTurf will be able to produce, install and maintain IRB Regulation 22 compliant surfaces, opening the way for elite and community level matches to be played on artificial surfaces.

“The selection of Preferred Turf Producers through the One Turf program provides our member unions, clubs and owners of facilities with an assurance that if they choose these manufacturers they will be getting the best quality of product and service in the Rugby turf marketplace”, said IRB Head of Technical Services Steve Griffiths in an IRB issued press release.
