“When it is brushed-up, the surface of sand and rubber makes it nice and soft. It behaves just like real grass. The gaffer (George Burley) went to Barcelona and saw it in use and he thought it was superb. I saw a goalkeeper training session at Blackburn Rovers and they were throwing themselves around and making saves. They were wearing shorts but there was not a problem with burns. I was very impressed.”
