FieldTurf at the Heart of the World Cup in France

Two new FieldTurf artificial grass soccer fields are now proudly boasted by the city of Paris, in the world famous Trocadero, at the base of the Eiffel Tower. These fields are at the center of the official FIFA Fan Festival, which will take place over the course of the World Cup, starting today.

Paris was one of six exclusive locations around the world which FIFA selected to hold its Fan Festival. Others are Berlin, Paris, Rome, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney.

The Fieldturf artificial grass installation, designed to recreate an authentic stadium ambiance, will be on display during the four week long championship. Approximately 1.2 million people will be able to watch all 64 matches of the World Cup on a giant television screen. And for those moments when there are no World Cup matches to watch, people will be able to showcase their personal soccer skills. Every day and during transmission-free hours, soccer tournaments will be organized among children and adults from all over the Paris area.

With this installation, Fieldturf soccer turf has become the centerpiece of the biggest World Cup celebration event ever in Paris. Residents and tourists will be able to vibrate to the beautiful game’s every beat in South Africa, and live their own ultimate World Cup experience.

FieldTurf, the #1 choice of soccer:

Over 75% of all teams in the English Premier League, Spain’s ‘La Liga’, and France’s ‘Ligue de Football Professionnel’, train on FieldTurf and synthetic turf systems from the world leader in artificial turf.

As well, FieldTurf has more FIFA Recommended Pitches than any other artificial turf manufacturer and was the first to have the FIFA U20 World Cup Final was hosted on its artificial turf system.
