University of Nevada Reno-Wolf Pack Field

During my 19-year tenure as coach here, there was not an artificial surface available that would be in the best interests of our program. However, with the advent of FieldTurf, I would feel very comfortable in saying this product is good enough to maximize our practice situation. I’m a grass guy but I feel we’re on the cutting edge with this product.

With our short growing season and with such a field shortage on campus, it has been a constant battle to maintain our fields. These projects will greatly improve the aesthetics, increase the usage and give us significant water and labor savings.

I absolutely love FieldTurf. It's the perfect surface everytime out. I have experienced 100% rubber-filled surfaces and can say they are very soft. It's like playing in sand, and for a sport like soccer this kills your legs. We train and play on FieldTurf, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's by far the best synthetic surface for soccer.
