Seahawks Stadium - Seattle Seahawks

When they had the stadium vote prior to my coming here, one of the stipulations was that the field be natural grass. There is a large soccer community here, and they wanted to play on natural grass. But because of rains up here in November and December, it would have been a poor playing surface. At the University of Washington, we put in FieldTurf for them. Everyone liked it, including our opponents. And if it rains a little bit, it's still not a mess. If you talk to people who come in and play in our place, they'll say that if they can't play on grass, which is the best, this is the best synthetic surface.

It's better than grass. I was very skeptical at first. But after playing in Miami (a week ago), I feel better now than I do after playing on the grass down there. For me, this seals the deal. It's a godsend.

It's a great field. They (Seattle) have really good field turf. Best field turf out there, I think. It's just a fast track.
